"(Among the 10 dead fighters was a man identified by residents as a Muslim cleric who was shot as he fired on troops with an AK-47 assault rifle)

"The Religion of Peace strikes again!"

What a repugnant religion Islam is. It's a disgrace to the word 'religion' and shouldn't even be given this status.

"Even with a chest tube, without a modern medical facility he's likely to die a slow, painful, agonizing death."

If the story of his condition is true, I believe he's receiving the highest quality care available in Damascus.

As war is 90% disinformation, I wouldn't think too much of the story.

Yup, wait until you have the body.

Just keep shooting bad guys until you come to the right body.

We may have seeded this story ourselves, hoping he'll pop out just to say "I'm not dead yet!" Then we whack him!

If so, then we must be desperate.

I'll believe he's dead - when I see his head... Guess I'm still an Old Testament sonuvabitch..

No, an Old Testament sumbitch would say to the WaPo pukes, as the Israelites said to Samson, "What, thirty thousand Philistines? No way! Show us the foreskins!" And so Samson went back to the battlefield and gathered up the 30,000 foreskins in bushel baskets, and brought them to the Israelites.

Sounds reasonable to me.

Slowly suffocating, with agony in every breath, maybe drowing in his own blood. Couldn't happen to a nicer person.

Ummmmm....whack-a-mole with an a-hole? Sounds like a good way to spend a weekend!

So in your construction, he doesn't have the "lung" wound, but he could get a head wound when he sticks it up.

We came over and stomped them so hard that they stayed in the 14th century for 500 years.

Damn! I'd say somebody was pissed! LOL!

Who did that?

Ghengis Khan, after he tried to start a trade empire and the local caliph first imprisoned, then beheaded, his ambassador. The head was then sent back to Ghengis in a sack.

Unfortunately, the murdered emissary was one of Ghengis' best friends. The Khan tore the non-Turkic Muslim world apart to avenge his murder (and who wouldn't???). By the way, it was the 12th century that the Muslims got stuck in (my typo), and most of the bad press we hear about Ghengis entered "Western history" from the viewpoint of the Muslims, from whom European scholars took information on the state of the rest of the world.

If we capture it on film, and publish it as a PPV event, it would help to recover most of the costs of the war.

If we capture him, we should inject him with the "truth serum"....try and get all the info out of him and then behead him!

Didn't want to start a new thread but this story had a interesting bit in it !!! PINGER !!! The U.S. military announced May 25 that the most wanted militant in Northern Iraq has been arrested. Iraqi forces in Balad arrested Mullah Kamel al-Aswadi, an aide to al Qaeda in Iraq leader Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, as he tried to bribe his way through a checkpoint. U.S. officials said al-Aswadi was involved in the funding and training of terrorist cells and the production of car bombs and roadside bombs.

Even if he's faking it so he can bow out with honor, that's good news...might mean he's had enough and is going to try to escape from Iraq.

Hope it isn't a cover for him to withdraw to an undisclosed location in the world to plan an attack on America.
