Arcadia was the name of my grandfather's farm in Cuba, where I was born. I've been living in the U.S. since I was three and consider myself an American.

My favorite book is "The Red and the Black" by Stendhal.

My friends think I'm well-informed; that's because I review the Free Republic everyday. I also read the New York Times, the Washington Post, Haaretz and (I am afraid to admit it) Debka. Debka is fun to read, a sort of foreign affairs tabloid. The New York Times is ... well ... interesting, especially what's between the lines.

I own three pugs: Bear (fat fawn male), Bubba (black male) and Brazen (fawn female - very destructive). Brazen already had four beautiful pug puppies, which I placed in very good homes. One of the puppies sired a litter of his own. My direct contribution to pug overpopulation has ended, however.

I guess I am a moderate. This means that conservatives think I am a liberal and liberals think I am a conservative.
