Too late. Newsweak got it out there, and then retracted it. But not before the damage was done.
I hate these people. Moreso, because some of them are coming with my unit to theater as embeds.
Some help has arrived. I think these folks are going to have the media on the run. Check this out and tell everyone about this website.
Linda Foley, Meet MediaSlander.com
Linda Foley's unfounded slanderous accusations of murder directed at the troops of the US Military has caused the Easongate.com bloggers to reconstitute as MediaSlander.com.
Media Slander's Statement of Purpose Reads:
The goal of Media Slander is to hold journalists and bloggers to high ethical standards regarding coverage of the War on Terror and other military-related issues. We plan to achieve this by highlighting bias, rumor and falsehoods that have been creeping into military coverage under the guise of objective news.
We by no means advocate censorship or the deliberate suppression of well-researched and relevant stories about the war and the military.
As much as journalists feel that they are the guardians of the First Amendment, its true protectors are standing watch in Iraq, Afghanistan and places no one will ever hear about. Journalists owe it to the true gatekeepers of our liberties to be fair, balanced, relevant and accurate in covering them.

Obviously, the current Media Slander being addressed is Linda Foley's baseless public accusations that American troops "target and kill journalists" as a matter of strategic operations. This can not and will not stand unchallenged.
MediaSlander.com will exert its energy to bring this issue to light. We need your help and support. In the coming days, the bloggers at MediaSlander.com will not only be posting regular news, developments and investigative work, but also ways in which readers and citizens can help defend the honor of America's Military.
It is my sincere hope that you will check in frequently and read developments and offer whatever support you can muster.
Our men and women in uniform deserve no less from us, the protected.
Try to get it right,,,flush the Arab down the S.H.,,,,
Funny... the story was moved to Blogger section and it went back to the news section. I didn't mind if it was to go to blogger section since I have noticed it may have been more appropriate in the blogger section. Well, it's up to the moderator.

Read the same article in USA Today. Starting to think they should change the name of the paper to USA Slander Daily. Article is titled, "Formerly secret FBI records cite Koran claims." Guess the MSM just can't let such a juicy anti-military story slide by easily.
This is really a business opportunity. If someone would print the koran on toilet paper they would make a fortune.
Not enough rioting and death, so the media needs to rub this in a little bit more.
The media is taking this detainee at his word, I guess. What's new?

Al Qaeda Training Manual (Newsweek taking tips?)
First, on page 13 in the FIRST LESSON, the manual lists Missions Required of the Military Organization ("the Military Organization is how Al Qaeda refers to itself in the manual). On this top eight list, sitting at number five, we have:
5. Spreading rumors and writing statements that instigate people against the enemy.
So Al Qaeda understands the basic purpose of their organization, along with blowing up things, is spreading rumors. NEWSWEaK should also understand that this is pretty much Isikoffs agenda as well.
Now, what things are Al Qaeda members are suppose to do when captured? Again, I refer you to the Traning Manual, Lesson Eighteen, Prison and Detention Centers, Page 176.
1. At the beginning of the trial, once more the brothers must insist on proving that torture was inflicted on them by State Security [investigators] before the judge. 2. Complain [to the court] of mistreatment while in prison.
So, before they are even captured, Al Qaeda members are taught to make public accusations of torture. This is not only part of their training, but IT IS THE MOST IMPORTANT THING they are taught to do while in prison. While in prison, spreading rumors is the only one of their eight missions that they can fulfill. Without independent corroboration, such charges are less than groundless. You might say that they were a planned part of a conspiracy.
