The Olympic Flame is kindled in a ceremony in Greece, the site of the first Olympic Games, and then that very flame is carried from Greece to the site of the Games for that year. Symbolic connection to the First Olympics, basically.
If you relight the fire with a mechanism on your oxygen-supplying torch on Everets, it defeats the whole point, because the point is to have a line of burning-flame connection back to the original flame kindled in Greece.
