Europe has never believed in religious freedom.

That's why America exists.

They should just brew some large vats of that special kool-aid and pass it around through Europe. Put a fork in Europe, they're done. We have to circle the wagons over here, we're next.

The great euro experiment is about to blow up in the socialists face. I thought they would atleast last until the next decade, but I was wrong. The whole concept was flawed from the start, and anyone that thought the Brits, frogs and huns would ever put aside their history and make this work were sadly mistaken.

"give birth to Eurofascism"

This will happen, it will be their only choice by the time they get around to recognizing the problem and making a decision. I don't think the Germans will be happy just bending over.

I am so glad to see it FAIL FAIL FAIL. A wonderful blow to the New World One Government Order. It would have been just another big govt experiment that the actual peoples of Europe could not have controlled. They would have ended up losing their heritage, their history AND their freedom had it succeeded. Now if they can only combine sufficiently to kick the Muslims out they'll be back on the road to sanity! Maybe that will be coming next once the EU nonsense is kicked to the curb.

"I hope America will open its borders for European Christians if need be"

No way, they have to go to Canada. Canada needs an influx of god fearing people.

"I hope America will open its borders for European Christians if need be"

Sorry, that is reserved for Mexican Christians only.

Your message (which is full of derogatory remarks, but that aside) actually contradicts the message of an article. You are implying that mentioned European nations would never agree on anything and that is why that their experiment will blow. But, actually, the opposite is true: all of these nations gave up their historically different views on balance of individual rights and power of government bureaucracy. Their newly adopted universal Pan-Europe post-Christian morale brings them to voluntary self-disarmament in the face of moral threat. So, certain success of their project is the reason for that grim assessment.

Europe fell when Hitler took over. It was only propped up by the USA for 60 plus years. We leave, it has fallen again. While stationed in Germany back in the 1970s, one of my old sergeants told me we were not in Germany to keep the Russians out. We were in Germany to keep the damned Germans from starting another war. Two wars, so close together. We had to keep them from doing it again.

Don't you think our Union is creature of the same kind as EU? Free from Federal Government states probably would have more respect to individual rights and more in control of their citizens. At least their policy would closer to the populous. Sounds logical. So,... cessation?

I don't really think it's the same, no. I can understand what you're saying, but the United States started off as kind of a blank slate and we just kept adding and combining different kinds of people and backgrounds as we went along. However the countries of Europe have been independent nations for generations - hundreds of years for many of them, and most of them have their own culture, language, customs, differences of religion, etc. Each one is different - France is different from England is different from Germany is different from Poland is different from Italy and so forth. I don't see how they can combine all these different cultures under one govt umbrella without losing their power and identity.

However your argument does have some merit to me. I would not have opposed cessation of the South had I lived during those Civil War days. I think a state should be allowed to leave. I'm obviously in the minority and I had both sides of my family fight that issue (on opposing sides). I do believe the growth of Federalism and a centralized govt does indeed threaten the liberty of the individual citizen as the govt grows further and further beyond his or her control to manage or change. The govt, even on a state level, has become the province of lifelong bureaucrats and policitians who make this their life work instead of the part-time avocation and civic duty I think the founders intended it to be. This professional government has become an institution and power until itself and fairly impervious to control by the citizenry. That is a very bad thing. The smallest and most local govt generally is the best for the ordinary citizen.

"In it, Ms Fallaci. argues that Europe is turning into "an Islamic province, an Islamic colony"".

Yes. You have to admire tenacity. It may have taken muslims close to a thousand years longer than they expected, but they truly are finally conquering Europe.

At least the average American citizen knows the enemey when they see them. Apparently Europeans don't, or can't.
