It's not impossible to retrofit those machines with an internal printer if they want a 'paper trail'. I don't know if the manufacturer offers that as an option or as backup in case of equipment failure, and I don't recall the FEC requiring such in electronic voting machines. Since the petition doesn't supply any useful details and is impossibly vauge, it's impossible to take it seriously. If the petition author had included a manufacturer and model number instead of vauge allegations, they might have a case. As is, it just looks like more crybaby antics from a bunch of losers.
The purpose, though, is to get rid of the paper trail. No paper trail, no opportunity for contradiction, no abiguity.
At that point, the only thing that can go wrong is someone might slash your tires the night before you are to drive to the polls.
Yeah, I keep hearing this from my demonRAT acquaintenances. They want a paper trail. Just why? I don't get one now. They say, Well you can't do a recount. Of course not, there is no need for a recount when the computer counts the same everytime.
