It is good to hear someone say really nice things about the South. Those of us who live here know how "gracious" it can be. I wish I could have seen him at the Beau Rivage.

Well, if you were going to do a stand up routine in, let's say, Baton Rouge, you certainly wouldn't insult the locals or their culture before hand.

Maybe just a little disingenuous.
