I guess liberals at Amnesty International equate being thrown into a Soviet gulag for merely disagreeing with communism to, say, being a terrorist caught in Afghanistan with a rifle in your hand.

The two are the same, see? Being an unlawful combatant is just the same as being someone exercising freedom of conscience.

Liberals are delusional psychopaths.

What is wrong with McCain?!! Has he lost his mind? I can't figure out how he is expecting to get elected in 2008.The Communist party doesn't have enough voters to get him elected in the United States. I guess the next thing I'll see is Michael Moore campaining for this guy!.....Sheeeesh!!

McCain has rewarded Amnesty Internationale's irresponsibility. AI used the threat against US officials to up the stakes and get more internal US investigations going-just what we need, more investigations and hearings. McCain obliged them.

Why is he rewarding an anti-American, far left organization for its irresponsible comments? Especially, why reward them for threatening US officials?

I only wishhe would have said simply Remember the source for these charges of abuse come from our enemy. From a people whose religion and very life is motivated by the
desire to harm us as much and in as many ways as can be imagined. These charges must be investigated and have been
and for the most part prove reliable only as much as their source -our enemy.

...but added that Congress needs to exercise more diligent oversight of military prison conditions and the treatment of detainees.

Just like Congress does with the UN, Johnny?

I have three words for you, McKeating...er, McCain: OIL FOR FOOD.

Amnesty international, the international red cross and the american red cross are clearly in bed with international terrorism. The responsible officials of all three should be detained at gitmo.

"We struggle with how to handle them. But we've always handled them humanely and with the dignity that they should be accorded," Gen. Myers said.

This is almost too ludicrous to comment on. We detain 68,000 cruel, sadistic, medieval cultists and don’t know how to handle them so we warehouse them at gitmo “humanely and with the dignity that they should be accorded”.

We’re not going to win any war on terror handling these people “humanely and with dignity”. These animals should be interrogated using all effective extraction means and then eliminated, not released.

Americans have to wake up to the challenge. Rehabilitation of these animals is out of the question. Country club detention centers will make no difference. Release these animals and they will be back to cut your throats.

"abused?"

I got more "abuse" in one day of Marine Corps boot camp than these clowns have received in Gitmo. LMAO

I'm glad Gen. Myers revealed the numbers.

100 accusations out of 68 THOUSAND prisoners
Prisoners in the Middleast prisons wish they had it so good; and for that matter prisoners in American prisons wish they had it as good!
