"I hear canada is getting FOXNEWS. With the advent of real journalism canada is bout to be more conservative."
Would that this were true but, as previously posted on May 15th:

The notion that Canadians now have anything resembling open access to Fox News is a myth circulated stateside primarily by professional blowhard Bill O'Reilly since, as he loudly championed same, it would supposedly be a feather in his cap if it were true.
Media access to the "public airwaves" is controlled up here by the government appointed (read: Liberal) CRTC - Canadian Radio & Telecommunications Commission.
While CNN is available pretty much everywhere via "basic cable", Fox News is only licensed through premium High Definition (HD) cable and satellite packages which, aside from being beyond many peoples' news and entertainment budgets, aren't even available in some of the more remote parts of the country.
As an ironic aside, compared to much of our msm and especially to the CBC, the much maligned CNN actually comes across as relatively "fair and balanced" up here in matriarchal socialist Kanuckistan.
Thank God for the internet - LOL!
(damned O'Reilly, maybe I should get a rubber stamp?)
