I feel like neither, I deal with it. But that does not mean it is not there. I have a good job and a very supportive family. But anyone that says that PTSD is crap is either in serious denial or they were never in a situation where their life could end at any minute.

you should read the last bit of the 1st paragraph of my originalpost again......this time more carefully and completely.

What did I say, exactly? Can you paraphrase it, keeping it in the context of my whole post?

Thank you for your service and for your comments. I guess I read the article a little differently than most here. For me it seemed to say that it is easy to appreciate how much our soldiers sacrifice in battle, we have video of fighting etc. It is harder for some to appreciate how difficult the transition back to "normal life" can be. I am sure that some fare better than others. I don't know much about PTSD but it seems obvious that the war and all of its effects don't just magically disappear once you arrive back in the US.
