"This is largely our fault -- we of the Baby Boom and Generation X. We let you down. We, who in many cases knew nothing but comfort and security, weren't willing to sacrifice for freedom, as you did. Fat, happy, and lazy, we believed our government when it said it would take care of us, so we could remain children forever. We believed the slickly smiling politicians when they told us that if we just handed them enough power and money, they would eliminate every danger and make us as eternally content as sleeping babies in a nursery."

Oh, give me a break. Who passed the laws that sold out freedom for security, in the name of 'never having our kids go through this?' Who voted for this public education? Who bought the U.N. lies? All this shit was finished before Gen X was even born, and nothing we do to end it seems to make a difference given the weight of the Boomer and retiree voting block. Boomers and the so-called "Greatest" can try to push responsibility for the mess they created on us if they want--they always do--but anyone who can read a history book knows better.

Of course, that explains why most members of Gen X probably won't be able to defend themselves from this kind of b.s. charge.

"The bond between parent and child is nature's strongest. Providing for the well-being of the young is how every generation of American's undertook their stewardship. Except ours."
- Paul Tsongas

Ping list for the discussion of the politics and social (and sometimes nostalgic) aspects that directly effects Generation Reagan / Generation-X (Those born from 1965-1981) including all the spending previous generations (i.e. The Baby Boomers) are doing that Gen-X and Y will end up paying for.
