"An embassy staff member later said by phone that staff had not been told of the initial test results revealing the presence of a biological agent"

Ha! You think that's rough, try being told for 3 days that it was perfectly safe to work 40 feet from Daschle's office with the air conditioning still running.

100% correct !

I ate dinner last week at a good Padang Restaurant in Melbourne, and spoke a bit of Bahasa with the owners. At this time more calming energies are needed between the two nations not inflammatory responses from manically, angry people.

Why they would assume that it isn't the radical Muslims is beyond me. The US embassy in Indonesia was recently evacuated I thought due to a perceived threat from the radical Muslims. Now this. This dude's agenda though is apparently to blame Australians and talk about this case coming up, whatever it is.

The reason they are assuming it is an Australian source is because there has been an incredible amount of anti-Indonesian feeling here in recent days, and a significant amount of anger towards Indonesia.

This is because an Australian girl has just been given a twenty year prison term in Indonesia for drug smuggling. A lot of people hear think she's been unfairly treated - from my perspective, she got a pretty fair trial and while I don't know if she's guilty, she probably would have been found guilty here.

People have been very angry though and threats have been made over this.

Am I missing something in this story? Why would anyone want to go to Indonesia with the distinct possibility you COULD get twenty years at hard labor for a crime you didn't committ? Not my idea of a good risk analysis. (Yeah, I know Indonesia is a lovely country and the people are really nice...so?)
