"It's all about source material," said David Black, of the David Black Literary Agency. "Did he keep a diary? Were there records? Did he keep audio conversations with Woodward? Hoover was a great record-keeper, right? Was this guy?" According to Woodward's article today ... Felt was a big admirer of Hoover and wanted to be just like him
I too wonder what records Felt kept back then

This Felt character is a text book petty pencil pusher who is the institutional evil in government.
Now imagine the entire state department rank and file is JUST LIKE this type of petty pencil pusher...
then you understand why the state department is sad the USSR died and the USA won the cold war.

This morning I suggested to a liberal I know that Linda Tripp was a hero, if Felt was. You never saw anyone hit the roof so fast. LOL. What a rant I got back in return. :)

So typical of these phoney "tolerant and compassionate" libbers. They say one thing in public---to get elected--- and do another in private.

All the more reason to bring charges of treasonous behavior, and the cousins of that, and penalize it whenever it occurs.

If we move on him, he'll go out and unload everything. He knows everything that's to be known in the FBI. He has access to absolutely everything." Nixon was right
Felt was Hoover's #3 and then #2 man at the FBI
Hoover knew EVERYTHING

Felt's illegal leaking of FBI files was due to avarice, not nobility.Stolen from Southack --- and repeatedly reposting.

Woodward was always a Republican. Always
I Agree!!!
Woodward and his fellow Republicans Howard Dean, Hillary Clinton, and Ted Kennedy often have lunch together.

Okay by me. Where do we go to file charges? (smirk)

That is why Nixon's conversations with several of his advisors come across the way they do. There had to be fear in the WH of the power FBI had wrested. These career bureaucrats still have too much power.

I suspect that there will be an admission by the "reporters" that DT was not quite only MF, but not really a "composite character" either - differing from their earlier contentions. They seem to have had several sources, at least one of which seems still unknown.

I bet that "liberal" will take a look at themselves after having done the rant, and realize you are right. You will probably never hear about it, but you did a great favor in attempt to salvage that mind.

I know. Problem with that, isn't there. Nevertheless, I stand by that statement.

Well this excplains why he was passed over for the position. He had no problem selling out the country. He was not alone. Most of the bureau's top officials did not like what Nixon did after Hoovers death, many quietly applauded when he went down, and I have little doubt Felt was assisted by others around him.
People do anything for money. From Neil Armstrong's barber selling a lock of his hair for $3,000 to others selling top secret intel for cash and jewels. Look at our own borders. It's all about money. Follow the money.
To: AFPhys
Nonetheless, you have a lot of people standing shoulder to shoulder with you on that.

Woodward has been a RAT forever. He was rifling through Henry Kissinger's briefcase on trips to the Far East during Vietnam. (if only he were rifling through Sandy Berger's briefs ;-)) Woodward was reporting to the Joint Chiefs behind Nixon's back. Have you read "Silent Coup"?
If I have any of this wrong, let me know.
Look up sleaze in the dictionary, any decent dictionary would have Woodward's picture right there.

They try to claim that they exist to serve the public. Instead, they serve themselves. They are elitists & feel it is their obligation to spoon feed the public only the information they want us to know.
