Microsoft's Korean Web Site Hacked

WASHINGTON — Microsoft (MSFT) acknowledged Thursday that hackers booby-trapped its popular MSN Web site in Korea to try to steal passwords from visitors. The company said it was unclear how many Internet users might have been victimized.

I'd use Linux too if I was knowledgeable enough.

This incident apparently had nothing to do the end user browser choice.

We're supposed to trust Microsoft to protect us from hackers when they can't even protect themselves

The Linux sites would get hacked too ... if anyone actually cared to.

I'd use Linux too if I was knowledgeable enough.

But, but ... I thought Linux was so much better and easier.

But.....#1) It was the web site that was compromised, and #2) Firefox (my personal preference too) has exploitable vulnerabilities as well ---> Firefox vulns. Additionally, you should keep in mind that the number of those trying to find (and exploit) holes in it will move in lockstep with its visibility and market share growth.
