I was born a Vikings fan. It's been a pretty "tough row to hoe". My wife says it's harder being a Vikings fan than being a Cubs fan. Ouch.

His obnoxious wife?Brenda, has/had an annoying habit of calling sports talk shows to berate coaches and/or other players, while trying to defend Kurt's slide into oblivion.
As a matter of fact, I heard she actually had a radio show in NY where she could screech about how they (she and Kurt) should have remained the starter in NY.
I bet the Giants were glad to be rid of her, too.

Whatever else, you cannot deny he is a very nice person. He is a strong Christian, every year he takes a bunch of kids to Disney land as a part of the "Make a Wish" thing, he give alot to charities and such. And he'll be good this year.

BTW, I was a HUGH Warner fan when he was darn good. Unfortunately, when he wrecked his hand, he didn't tell the team and ultimately fumbled away that season.

Well, the taxes and revenues generated by the stadium and the Javits expansion would reap huge profits for the city. Opponents just want more housing projects so they can get prime real estate for $150/month. It's laughable.I tend to agree. Not even counting the income taxes on players, which will go a fair way towards paying off the city and state investment.
Then there's judging the project by its opposition - that the scumbag Dolans are against it makes me almost automatically for it. They only want to stop it because they want to protect the Garden's monopoly on sports and entertainment in Midtown.

I cannot stand the Dolan's. I hope they lose everything. I love how they covet the Olympics on one side and then fight against the stadium on the other. Sporting venues and convention centers will always bring millions to the city in revenue. People look for reasons to come here. New apartments won't help that cause. Hotels, the Olympics, Jets, the Javits. The benefits would be monstrous.

(With a QB named Kerry, is it any wonder the Raiders finished 5-11 last year?)

So I wasn't the only one who had no idea what he was talking about.

The Raider/criminal connection goes back to the 70s. It was either Steelers coach Chuck Noll or owner Art Rooney Sr. who called the Raiders
"the criminal element" in the NFL based on their propensity to draft or sign players who had a reputation for being tough, but playing on the fringes of the rules.
Several Raiders in the late 70s and early 80s also developed a bad case of rap sheet. Thus the tie in. Steelers/Raiders has to be one of the best playoff rivalries in NFL history.

HBO did a show about that game a while ago. It's amazing how quickly it grew into the mega event it has become.

That's why they spent their #1 pick on a kicker.

12 might be a bit much. We're going to have to see if Pennington is fully healthy. I still expect the Jets to be in the playoffs.
