Thanks for the info and sorry if my other posts sound impatient for something to happen. But I am impatient. Without placing blame, we as a nation have dithered for 30 years since the triumphs of the Apollo program. I'm ready for us to go exploring again--in person.
Ditto!
And that takes funding.
I do agree that our manned spaceflight program seems to have floundered at times. However, that should not detract us from the importance or the necessity of the unmanned missions.
Right on! There is a place for both manned and unmanned missions, especially since unmanned missions are much less expensive than the manned ones. The $700 million cost for JUNO would cover, what, a Shuttle mission and a half?
Oh, and no apologies necessary, Neville72. I wasn't around the last time we were on the Moon, so I'd like to see us go back.
I misread your post as advocating an open border.
NASA has begun a massive reorganization except manned spaceflight. Today. Griffin was forced by gov't regulation to wait this long.
