"Rather's Denial: PUTTING "FAKE BUT ACCURATE" TO THE TEST - (Rather on Larry King Live)"

One of the undead talking to another.

At least that is how I see it.

Here's a GREAT link that was posted on the other thread:

It takes a minute to watch but it is "case closed" for everybody in the civilized world EXCEPT for that simple scumbag and Democrat Party hack, Dan Rather.

I am reminded of the Hitler diaries that came out in the 1980s in Germany...which lots of bigwigs hinged their reputations on in the journalist world...and they were all fake. The guy who manufactured the diaries...went to great lengths to make them appear real.

...we don't know whether the documents were fraudulent or not.

Hmmm, this reminds me of what Ann Coulter said about liberals having no qualms about LYING, and in fact, for them it's a sport.

I'm thinking that Dan Rather is willing to engage in a little sporting prevarication here in order to try to recoup a few molecules of self respect, after losing all in a perfect storm of apparently being caught using forged documents to influence an election, in a situation involving the same U.S. military that (if I recall correctly) years ago did not find Mr. Rather acceptable.

We have Larry "softball" King, with all the intelligence & interview skills of a 3rd grader & Dan "it's true! Liar who obviously did too much acid & smoked too much rope in the late 60s.

Me? I'd rather watch Looney Toons any day instead of either of 'em. You'd get more truth & maturity this way from the tube.

BUMP!!!!

If every American would read this, Rather's legacy would be doomed forever.

O, I forgot. It already is.

This is so well put, that it deserves to be posted again. It is precisely what is happening. His pride and ego are so enormous, that he simply can not even go near the notion of coming clean, apologizing, telling it like it is.

His problem is that the "truth of the matter" is shabby, conspiratorial and possibly felonious. He tried to swing an election with lies and fake documents. He can not admit to that, so he has to keep on muttering these idiotic, nonsensical protestations on soft ball shows like Larry King.

Thanks for your comments, Seaplaner.

Rather also defended Mark Felt by stating, in essence, that any means necessary to expose the corrupt Nixon administration should be applauded. There is no doubt in my mind that Rather applied this same standard to his own actions WRT these fake docs. He'd made a decision that Bush needed to be brought down, and any means to achieve that end were appropriate. He clearly still believes that to be the case.

I thought this was one of the most revealing interviews I've seen in quite some time. It was a great window into the minds of many in the MSM.

Thanks for the ping. Dan Rather's problem is pure and simple arrogance. He cannot admit to being wrong. Wouldn't you love to live with him?

You're right. That's why Bernard Goldberg says ("Bias" & "Arrogance"), that they move around in a circle of infinity - cocktail and dinner parties in NYC and D.C., where all of them stay inside of that liberal drivel bubble and therefore conclude that everyone thinks as they do.

Stunning myopia!
