"I bet they come to their senses and put up a real candidate, and that won't mean HRC."

WHO, WHO, WHO would it be?

I'm sorry, I sounded like Amiri Baraka, ignore that. But who would that be? Who could it be? Miracle Joe Lieberman? The Breck Girl Edwards? John Francois Part Deux? Al "Slim Shady" Sharpton?

Mark Warner seems to be the contender within a certain segment of the party for now, but things will of course change over the next 3 years.

The important thing is that not all Dem candidates are loons, and the party will probably eventually pick a non-loon.

Most of em think 8 years out of the White House over 10 years out of the congres is enough.

My bet, and it's just a hunch, is that Dean is out after the Dems lose seats in 06.

Bayh/Richardson would flip Indiana and New Mexico into their column. Allen will win the GOP nomination and should select someone like Pawlenty or Rudy to carry a Blue State. Of course, HRC has the dirt on Bayh and Richardson so this may not happen.

Bayh and Allen, who are now in the Senate were former Governors.

I've been hearing that the big star in DC Dem fundraising is...The Breck Girl. I'm thinking Edwards-Bayh.
