And, from www.valleyfordemocracy.com:

Rally Against Arnold

Start:
Tue, 06/14/2005 - 5:00pm

SANTA MONICA MARCH AND RALLY AGAINST SCHWARZENEGGER
TUESDAY JUNE 14th, 5:00 PM - 8:30 PM
Gov. Schwarzenegger has been asked to deliver the commencement speech at Santa Monica College for the June 14th graduation. Let's be out in force to show that we remain united in our opposition to the Governor's cuts to education.

We will begin the march at 5:00 pm at St. Anne's Church (2017 Colorado Ave. (East of 20th Street), Santa Monica, CA 90404; Parking Available at St. Annes and at Calvary Baptist Church at 20th and Broadway). We will march south up 20th street to Pico Blvd.

The RALLY and PROTEST against Schwarzenegger will be held at the corner of PICO and 20th. The rally will be held in the SANTA MONICA COLLEGE parking lot. Protesters lining up along Pico will be able to hear rally speakers. We need people to protest until 8:30 pm to catch attendees leaving the event. Please bring signs to protest the Governor's cuts to education.

We are making signs at 10:00 a.m. Monday, June 13 at the S.M.A.R.T. Offices in Santa Monica and will have all the supplies and language for writing on the signs. S.M.A.R.T., 525 Colorado, just east of 5th Street, Santa Monica. And for those of you who don¹t know already, we will not have union printed signs, so we need A LOT of handmade signs and thus we need your help A LOT.

Need an idea for a sign? Try these:

* Save Our Schools - Expel Arnold
* Save K-14 Funding
* Arnold's Initiatives Hurt Education
* Yes to Students - No to Arnold
* Don't Tax Students
