Haven't found a home, yet. My mom went Methodist years ago, but that was only because she was kicked out of our Lutheran church for her "affair" with a guy she later married. (I'm so proud! *Rolleyes*) I've attended her church and there is too much goofing around for me. All potatoes, no meat.
If you think of something, let me know. Not sure if I can go the whole Catholic length, but it's under consideration.
Our family left an ELCA congregation and went to another church that was a LCMS (Missouri) and never looked back. I still remember the straw that broke the camels back too, It was my mom's turn to clean the church, and after she was done the Pastor told her where he lived and it was expected of the cleaners to also clean the Pastors house. Problem was he was married with 3 kids and a stay at home wife. I will never forget the tongue lashing she gave him, all I remember was something about his wife scrubbing out her own d#$& toilets. There were other problems before that too, but it was kind of fun for a little kid to watch.
I was raised in the church that eventually became the ELCA. We left about 13 years ago to the LC Missouri Synod. Perfectly happy now.
