United States Senator John McCain will not be in attendance at Saturdays Arizona Republican Assembly state convention. He would not want to be present, nor would his presence be all that welcomed by Republicans. Among the resolutions to be addressed during Saturdays annual Arizona Republican Assembly (ARA) convention is an effort to censure Arizonas senior U.S. senator over his betrayal of the GOP on juidicial filibusters and other important issues.
The ARA is a principled, constitutional organization which honors without compromise the Republican Party platform. In recent years, Senator McCain has shown little regard for the party or its principles while consorting with Democrats and grandstanding for another presidential run.
Last month, McCain led a group of seven moderate and liberal Republicans in making an agreement with seven Democrats which undermined Senate President Bill Frists desire to change the rule on cloture of filibusters. As a result, it may be more difficult to get some of President Bush's pro-life, conservative judicial nominees confirmed. McCain has been vilified ever since for his betrayal to the GOP. He has also betrayed party faithful throughout his amnesty legislation, constitutionally-challenged campaign finance reform and other controversial stands.
McCain was re-elected last year. But a 2001 recall effort against him was discontinued because of the September 11th Al Quaida attacks on the United States.
The following resolution will be proposed at Saturdays ARA convention, discussed and voted on:
Whereas, Senator John McCain deserted the ranks of the Republican Party and the Leadership of the United States Senate on the issue of the judicial nominees of President George W. Bush, leading to the stalling of the Presidents agenda for judicial reform,
Whereas, Senator John McCain led the Democratic Party in reforming campaign finance leading to the orgy of spending in the 2004 elections;
Whereas, Senator John McCain has seriously considered the possibility of running for President on a split ticket with a Democrat;
Whereas, Senator John McCain is presently working with his Democratic soul mate, the Senior Senator of Massachusetts to draft a reform of the Immigration Policy of the United States after years of neglect,
Whereas, Senator John McCain has been missing in action to wit; his responsibilities to represent the citizens of the State of Arizona,
Be it resolved that the Arizona Republican Assembly here assembled on June 11, 2005 in Scottsdale Arizona takes the following actions:
The Arizona Republican Assembly officially and publicly censures Senator John McCain for desertion of his duty to the President and Senate Leadership; for his consistent actions supporting the Democratic Party; and, his abandoning his responsibilities as a representative of the citizens of Arizona.
Be it further resolved that the Arizona Republican Assembly strongly urges Chairman Matt Salmon and the entire State Republican Party of Arizona, along with all Republican affiliated organizations to publicly and officially express their displeasure with Senator McCain through the means of public censure.
With the passage of this Resolution of Censure, the Officers of the Arizona Republican Assembly shall transmit this document to the Chairman of the Arizona Republican Party forthwith.
Dated this 11th of June, in the year of our Lord 2005
Additional resolutions for consideration by ARA include two proposed resolutions coming down from the National Federation of Republican Assemblies:
Supporting a Privileged Resolution of Congress to get the U.S. out of the WTO
Opposing the Bush Amnesty Immigration Reform Program
Let me know when the word castration pops up. I'll begin to take this serious.

Ya' can't take what he ain't got...
I wonder if we can pool our Az. freepers $$ to take out a full page ad in the Az. Republic and Scottsdale Tribune and expose McCain for what he is. A recall could still be a possibility.
Works for me.
I would like to see this more often when these guys wander off the reservation, followed by throwing their worthless butts out of office.
Senator McLame is a principal officer in the Jim Jeffords Scarlet Letter Club!
Trent Lott is Honorary, Graham is blowing kisses to be invited
But Hillary will determine who gets invited)
Excellent!
Watch,.... once it is delivered McPain switches party affiliations and openly comes out of the closet as a Dem.

Oh that we could find the courage to do that to collins and snowe here in Maine.
Get Dan Rather to move there, he is full of "Courage"
