Thanks for posting this Coop. The only unknown factor in this is whether Frist really has the 50 votes he needs even with DeWine and Graham on board. In other words, Specter has not indicated which way he would go if the option came up for a vote.

Specter better go with the Republicans. He owes Bush big time for backing him for Chair of Judiciary, despite much opposition. Bush would look like a fool for trusting Specter. Bush won't allow that to happen.
Yes he has. He has stated he would vote with us.
There is no doubt at all that we have the votes with Dewine and Graham.
But, those two better come through if the Dems filibuster on the SCOTUS.
I'm pretty sure that Collins has also stated that if this "compromise" doesn't work out, she will vote with Frist. That will probably bring Snowe along, too.
It seemed like her take was this is the Demodog's "last chance" to play nice. Sorry I don't have references to her statements.
