OK. just wanted to advise ya of what the dealer will never tell you.
I have a wrangler and I am happy with it. made some rock crawls I never thought it could have.
I wouldn't buy a Liberty for serious off-roading...I was just making the point that for a small SUV, it does OK by comparison with other vehicles in its class. And the diesel helps in that regard.
There are a few hills here and there but I mostly will be going down trails. As for a rock crawler. A properly equipped wrangler is hard to beat. In an ideal world (read I could afford it) I would have an on road suv (shopping utility vehicle)like a 2wd liberty. And then have a hunting jeep with all the bells and whistles.
