What are odds for Kerry in '08? Not good
Boston Herald ^ | Wednesday, June 8, 2005 | Dave Wedge

Sen. John F. Kerry claims he's yet to decide on a 2008 presidential run, but oddsmakers are already counting him out, predicting he'll come in dead last out of nine potential candidates for the Democratic nomination.

The Bay State's junior senator, who missed becoming president by just one state, has been tabbed a 9-to-1 underdog by online casino SportsInteraction.com, behind favorite Hillary Clinton, and Kerry's vice-presidential running mate John Edwards.

He also ranked behind Sen. Evan Bayh (D-Ind.), Iowa Gov. Tom Vilsack, New Mexico Gov. Bill Richardson, Sen. Barack Obama (D-Ill.) and former South Dakota senator Tom Daschle.

Looks like he won't be "reporting for duty" in '08...

__-`des; did you see his college picture?

But then; the 'folks' have embraced far worse as Kerry matures into a total zero. . .and Hitlery presses on, in Hillary fashion. . .and Ted rants. . .and Dean slimes. . .and Algore sweats. . .

But to Kerry. . .have Kerry and Theresa Hines been in the same room together since the election; alone that is. . .without cameras?

Kerry's chances would improve if he entered Harvard Graduate School and earned an MBA.

I agree that Kerry is toast but the same site has Giuliani as the GOP favorite.

.......the same site has Giuliani as the GOP favorite.

The "whack jobs" on the right will never allow it.

By 2008, Kerry will have worn out even the Democrats.

He'll be lucky if he gets a 3 a.m. speaking gig at their convention.

Don't count Kerry out just yet.
Remember his campaign was dead in the water before Iowa in '04.
He has virtually unlimited funds from the internationist socialist elite, ie. Soros
Recall Soros' comment after the election - that his mistake was trying to buy the election on the "cheap."
Next time they will be attacking American freedoms full bore.
He is still a media darling, look how they are going after Hillary now (Ed Klein's book).
Best case scenario is that Kerry and Hillary destroy each other in the primaries and the Republican wins in a walk.

Over at tradesports.com, I have positions on Condi/George Allen as the Republican candidates, and Mark Warner/???? for the Rats.

I'd no sooner put my money on Kerry than on Guliani or McCrazy. Those are sucker bets.

Hitlery may get on the Rat ticket through "the favor bank", in the same manner that Bob Dole did in 1996. But equally a certain loser for POTUS.

The Prowler had a bit on how the other Rats were digging/spreading dirt on Kerry just to cut him off at the knees.

Dumbass DUer's think it's Team Bush. Are they kidding. I'd love to see this loser again.

I find it amusing that the Democrats consistently complain about the stolen election of 00, and the questionable voting in Ohio in 04, yet their candidates for both of those years were never really considered as repeat nominees. What a bunch of crapola.

"Kerry's chances would improve if he entered Harvard Graduate School and earned an MBA"

That is assuming that this doofus with a C- average could have actually been admitted.

I knew he was a dope when he could only get admitted into a 9th rate schlock Diploma Mill Law School in Mass.

A 77 in French ! Jean le Kerré.... the shame of it!

Why did he ever release his grades? Maybe he thought they were pretty good?

Richardson just bought a five-million-dollar plane, went to New Hampshire with it, made a point of speaking before the Politics and Eggs breakfast, denied in English he's running, immediately said in Spanish he is.

Kerry ranks below Daschle? That, at least, is preposterous!

I just assumed everybody knows that W has a Harvard MBA.

A little wry sarcasm in the late evening here behind enemy lines in the blue state of CT.

I agree, it would be great watching him lose all over again.

Heck, he could run as a hero of the Revolutionary War, and still half of the moonbat vote.

RE: Kerry in 2008:

1. Democrats not only bury their dead, they bury their wounded. If Gore couldn't get a nomination when the general consensus amongst democrats was that he was robbed (and by a man who was supposed to be an idiot, no less!), then Kerry hasn't the same chance as a mass of semi-frozen water vapor compacted into a spherical shape in the depths of Hades.

2. Howard Dean figures into all of this, as well. Dean may be a lunatic, but he can raise funds big time. Dean also serves as a counterweight to Hilary. Dean's loudmouthed tirades make Hilary seem moderate and make Kerry look comatose. The selection of Dean was a direct shot across Kerry's bow.

3. All people will remember about Kerry is two years of round-the-clock Vietnam. Now that his record has been scrutinized, held up to public ridicule, and found to have more holes in it than the proverbial piece of swiss cheese, the only thing that possibly made the man interesting and virile is now long gone. Americans will not vote for a p*ssy. heck, even Jimmah Cartah could boast of being a nuclear engineer. Being a Swiftboat commander with a penchant for self-inflicted wounds hardly sounds as manly or brave compared to that.

4. The rules have changed. People no longer want a choice between republican and democrat, they want a choice between republicrat and democlican. The two parties have swiped each others issues so often they are no longer recognizable, except at the extremes. Kerry still falls into the 60's radical category that defined the old democratic party. Now people want a democrat that is socially conservative and fiscally responsible. Kerry is neither.

5. The nation could not take another 2 years of a drunken Theresa Heinze-Kerry rambling on about the poor from inside one of the mansions she inherited from her late husband.

6. Kerry cannot gain the nomination because stupid cannot be washed off. In the same vein, John Edwards cannot gain the nomination because "southern turncoat who got elected by kissing Yankee backside" cannot be washed off either.

7. That wonderful post-election issue of Newsweek (before the commies took over again) portrayed Kerry as stubborn, a bad listener and very indecisive. Kerry's appearances on TV showed us a bold-faced and accomplished liar with a total lack of imagination or ideas. The convention showed a Kerry that was upstaged by a failed president (Carter), an impeached president (Clinton), a fat gasbag (T. Kennedy) and a portly-semi-intelligent-slug-like-film producer (Michael Moore). If Kerry couldn't beat THAT line up, you knew he was dead int he water. And those were on his good days. Lesson: even a hyper-friendly media cannot put fresh lipstick on a pig and call it a prom queen.

8. Kerry blamed everything but avian flu and American Idol on the Bush tax cuts. However, he never advanced anything resembling a coherent tax or economic stragetgy, merely spouting 40-year-old platitudes from the class-warfare hit parade.

9. He gets older and uglier by the minute.

10. He'd probably hire Bob Shrum again, who by my count, is 0 for 14,000.
