Of course he's insane. The very type of behavior he's exhibiting now is the type of behavior that lost him the nomination for the presidential candidacy. The scream came after the loss. It was his continual outrageous statements that did him in.
Now, he's doing to his party what he did to himself, and I'm lovin' it. :o)

Yes, Dean is a loose cannon. It also seems like he is starting to split the Dims a bit. I think that this is all a strategery to have the hildebeast come swooping in to save the save the day and bring the party back together as one cohesive communist unit. What better a way to bring the kooks and the less kook together then to have some maniacal mouthpiece seemingly start to splinter the party and then their female "savior" comes in and saves the day.

"Bill Clinton was able to keep all this covered because he was a charismatic kind of guy. "
Bill KKKlinton was smoother than Dean but his hatred of Republicans was just as intense. He never missed the chance to lie about and slander them. It was one of the main reasons he was (is) so hated.

His performance proved he can be coaxed to the edge. He needs to be coaxed further and he responds to stress.

Well, he is the perfect representative for every liberal I have ever known. I haven't known many who have acted markedly different. Some are a little more toned down, some speak a little more carefully but the difference would not measurable.
So, if he is insane, what does that say for a large chunk of our society?

Insane, perhaps. Megalomaniac, for certain. But probably no more so than your other average Northeast liberal prep-schooled "winner of life's lottery".

No, I think he is playing a part to make the witch look more moderate.

Dean is an undisciplined out-of-control idiot.
It was no mistake that his campaign for President in 2004 crashed and burned with one bizarre performance.
The idea that Dem's made him chairman after that shows how desperate they are. They deserve the embarrassment Dean is bringing upon them now.

Ditto. Dean is the true face of Liberal Democrats.
Joe Lieberman should stop pretending to be one of them, come out of the closet as a conservative Jewish man, and join the GOP.

Dean is where he is today thanks to a party who's leadership can't recognize an emotionally unstable man when they see one. This man's very public 'disgust' for Republicans isn't lost on anyone. This chest-pounding, hollow rhetoric isn't, either....This guy is just too reckless to survive.
He's just past 100 days on the job and already he's got that party talking to itself. These people are just insane. 3 different high ranking Dems have admonished his behavior publicly, dismissing Dean as 'just another voice' in the Democratic Party....Republicans would do well and wise to take their advice and quote these guys verbatim when the topic comes up.
I look at this situation and I just can't conceive that this once proud Democratic Party has been reduced to THIS. These people just can't be embarrased.

Yup, he's crazy, and it ain't no clever ploy, like some paranoid conservatives are telling themselves. As Homer Simpson said, "Stupid, huh? Well, I'm stupid like a fox!"

Ahhh, you found another locale for "the drip"! :-) I think that is actually when the Drips' career began. I had to extract the snot from a photo and that must've been a good year ago. Quality snot has been hard to get.

I don't know....I've been giving Dean some thought.
It's possible he is in position to make some of the most extreme democrats LOOK moderate, while at the same time saying what most of them want to say.
Just my 2 cents.
