Butler Endorsed By 15 State Senators and State Representatives
Wednesday June 8, 1:47 pm ET
SOUTHFIELD, Mich., June 8 /PRNewswire/ -- Keith Butler received the endorsement of 15 key state senators and representatives today. Senators Jason Allen, Alan Cropsey, Valde Garcia, Bill Hardiman, Ron Jelinek, and Tony Stamas joined the Butler Team. Also joining the Butler Team were State Representatives Tom Casperson, Judy Emmons, John Garfield, Bob Gosselin, Scott Hummel, Jim Marleau, Fulton Sheen, John Stahl, and Howard Walker.
"Keith Butler is a candidate that voters across this state can be proud of. He has the vision and integrity we need in the U.S. Senate. Keith is the only candidate that can take on Debbie Stabenow in every corner of this state. My colleagues and I know that on the issues of taxes, spending, homeland security and moral issues, Debbie Stabenow is on the wrong side and Keith Butler stands with us and the voters of this state," said Senator Alan Cropsey.
Representative Scott Hummel said, "I am proud to join my colleagues in the House and Senate in support of Keith Butler. On every major issue of importance, Keith Butler stands with the voters of Michigan. We have endorsed Keith Butler because we believe in him, and we believe he has what it takes to be our next U.S. Senator."
These 15 legislators join Attorney General Mike Cox and an ever-growing list of party activists who support Keith Butler for U.S. Senate.
Approved by Keith Butler. Paid for by Keith Butler for U.S. Senate
What he really means is the corner that includes Detroit! The Republicans often/usually get a majority of the state outside of Detroit/Wayne County. And there are enough democratic votes there to off-set the Republican lead elsewhere. Keith Butler is the one Republican candidate who can rip away some of those Detroit voters from the democrats.
The headline made me think they were talking about Jeeves.
With Detroit in shambles (soon even the African-Americans will want out to the suburbs), maybe they will really be demanding a change?
Many of the black middle class are already in the burbs(and not just places like Inkster or Pontiac). Southfield and Oak Park are majority black.
That's good. No one, of any race, should have to put up with the nightmare that is Detroit.
Democrat? Republican? Some of us are not from Michigan so why is this good news? You take it for granted that everyone reading this knows all about it. I'm in Hawaii and never heard of the man.
Thank you. Looks like a good guy and hopefully he will go all the way. Thanks again for the great info. Aloha
My question is how consertive is he? If he is backed in detroit, then what good is he in rural s.e. MI. [Addison]? Will he stand up for cutting the fuel taxes, income taxes, support the 2nd adnm., the right to life ect... or will he sell us out just like the yahoo out of Grand Rapids & the state leg.?
He is pro-Second Amendment and solidly pro-life. Actively opposes homosexual "marriage." Publicly lobbied for Clarence Thomas' confirmation to USSC.
He;s campaigning on lowering taxes, supporting business, and values, especially life. He's also pro-2nd amendment from what I've heard (Campaign lit as well).
