We have lots of freedoms within the constraint of reasonable laws.

The reason for these restrictions is mostly due to population growth. If you were living in 1770, your isolation between people might be close to like living on an island with only a few others.

When we have people on top of each other SoVaDPJ, you get strange reasonable laws like getting ticketed for playing your car radio loud to the point of noise pollution.
