"And that message was that gang violence had moved into the upper middle class enclaves of the Island, into the kinds of communities where the locals assume that crime is somebody else’s problem."

Our problem from the get-go....it is someone else's problem. Eventually it will be everyone's problem, even touching the congress critters up on capitol hill, who presently, don't seem to have a clue.

I was thinking that too. But I saw an encouraging post from freeper advance_copy today.

Copy of his post:

If I've got one complaint about President Bush, it is about immigration. Tom Delay said the other day that the President has come around on the issue. "He admitted he hasn't done a very good job in being clear to the American people where he's coming from, and he's going to try to do better," said DeLay. I see this as a very good sign. 3 posted on 06/12/2005 1:17:18 PM EDT by advance_copy (Stand for life, or nothing at all)

I see this as a very good sign too. There are things going on out of our knowledge in reference to this Illegal Alien issue.

At that post link is a link to the full copy of Delay's and Bush's comments.
