Apparently, Madonna's devotion to Kabbalah is carrying over into the hospitality field.

If the Material Girl gets her way, she'll soon be building a Kabbalah-themed hotel and drop-in center in London's Regent Park district.

The singer has reportedly dropped $2.9 million on a five-story Georgian mansion that she plans to convert into a getaway for her fellow devotees of the religious sect.

You can check out, but you never can leave.

Can you imagine the freaks staying at this place? And then using an ancient wisdom tradition to charge $500-$1000 a night for a room. Bizarre.

Madonna checked out but never left. I think that works, too...

She's got to make a living somehow. Can't do it as a singer anymore that's for sure...

Maddonna again not practicing what she preaches:

http://www.allaboutmadonna.com/index.php

"The former Material Girl is one of the many big-name performers — along with U2, R.E.M. and Coldplay — who will participate in Live 8, the charity concert to benefit global poverty to be held on Saturday, July 2.
“It’s a sin that millions and millions of children in Africa continue to starve–and I do hope these concerts can make a difference,” she says."

Then why doesn't she contribute that $2.9 million to Live 8 instead of building a cushy retreat for her pals?

Now, as I recall, this is the religion where you become God. So if you stay at this hotel and encounter problems, you go to the front desk, complain, and say, "Hey, I'm God, fix it."

I was hoping that the Bergs were taking her to the cleaners, but she is probably in cahoots with them and gets a cut of what they are raking in.
