He did have a lung infection just a few weeks earlier. He may have been having some effects from that too.

I didn't hear that but it's easy to believe. Just like the Preakness it's difficult to believe what you're seeing during the replays.

Yea, I think Alex would have still won, but Giacomo would have been better, mabe 2 or 3rd

Duh! It was white carnations for the Belmont. Black Eyed Susans for the Preakness. My mistake.

I think Afleet Alex is in the top two or three best horses to run in the Triple Crown races since Spectacular Bid.

Prior to those races, his performance in The Arkansas Derby was powerful.
