No one is going to argue that Tianamen massacre is good -- but you haven't produced one thread of what you claim to be is true, other than the normal party lines.

I have heard dissents and complaints about the government in private all the time in China. Have you even visited the place recently? For sure, mass protests and organization is forbidden, but there are gradual changes in terms of news reports. The HK news is real, and if you actually bother to go there and watch it on TV, you can see for yourself.

BTW -- the PRC obviously haven't censored freerepublic.com, cuz i can get to it from China :)

Good. Maybe we can destabilize their government yet. But don't assume it will allow dissent to prevail or increase. Your own points don't prove anything other than that they are not free to change anything. I.e., they can't "organize". And I doubt very much your veracity about the free availability of anti-government press reports. You didn't document a single one. Meantime... China further criminalizes news accounting at variance with policy.

And as for your getting Free Republic in China that would be interesting news, if true, for Jim Robinson...note the general cyber censorship...and latest ratcheting up of their newest internet oppressions there...

Yup. Move along, the times they are changing, chchanging.... Sorry, David Bowie you're not.
