The D.C. Chapter of Free Republic invites all Freepers and lurkers in good standing to join us tomorrow afternoon outside the White House as we hold a patriotic counter-protest of the anti-American left.
We will gather on the closed to vehicle traffic part of Pennsylvania Avenue between the White House and Lafayette Park starting at 4:30 p.m. We will stay there through the leftists' rally in the park and peacefully counter-protest them.
Details of the leftists' plans as announced by them:
5:00 p.m. ET in Lafayette Square Park, in front of the White House, a large rally will support Congressman Conyers who plans to deliver to the White House a letter addressed to President Bush and signed by over 500,000 Americans and at least 94 Congress Members. The letter asks the President to respond to questions raised by the Downing Street Minutes.
Among those speaking at the rally will be: Congressman John Conyers (schedule permitting); Congresswoman Barbara Lee (schedule permitting); Congresswoman Lynn Woolsey (schedule permitting); Congressman Maurice Hinchey (schedule permitting); Cindy Sheehan, Co-Founder of Gold Star Families for Peace; John Bonifaz, Co-Founder of AfterDowningStreet.org; Medea Benjamin, Co-Founder of Global Exchange; Stephen Cleghorn, Member of Military Families Speak Out; Rev. Lennox Yearwood, Board Member of Progressive Democrats of America; Ray McGovern, former CIA analyst; Reg Keys, Member of Military Families Against the War, challenger to Tony Blair in last election (flying in from UK); William Rivers Pitt, Reporter for Progressive Democrats of America; Leslie Cagan, National Coordinator of United for Peace and Justice; Kevin Zeese, Director of Democracy Rising.
As you can see, it's an all star cast of Bush haters, leftists and anti-American activists. We won't out number them, but it's important to make a stand. Please make the effort to join us. Bring American flags and signs bearing messages of support for our troops, their Commander-in-Chief and their mission fighting the war on terrorists.
As always, the D.C. Chapter's rules for protesting will be in effect. Briefly, they are: No violence, no racism, no profanity, no provocations, obey the law and treat all law enforcement officers with respect.
FYI ping.
DC Chapter just mentioned (about 1:47 ET) by Limbaugh concerning your FReep of Sen. Byrd. WAY TO GO, DC CHAPTER!!!!
For a laugh or two, check out our DUFUing of Pitt:
DUmmie FUnnies 06-15-05 ("Comes a Time - The Downing Street Rally and Hearing" ---Pitt)
Hope you can join us tomorrow!
Thanks! That's was from awhile ago but it sure is pertinet to the Senate's apology Monday.
Go do it! These people deserve all the opposition they get, and then some.
pertinent.
Rush just mentioned you guys questioning Senator Byrd's people about the lynching bill.
Work day demonstrations are alot tougher for those on the right. But we can't let them take to the streets unopposed. They sense an opening and are going to exploit it no matter who in this country (or how many of our troops) gets hurt.
Oh, If I were younger and not so responsible.
DC Chapter ping!
Warning: Bring a triple expresso, a 2-liter bottle of Jolt[tm] cola, and a bottle of No-Doz[tm].

GOOD LUCK D.C. Chapter Freepers! You guys always do a great job!
Thank you and the other Freepers for taking your time to protest the protesters.
Watch to see if they call Conyers "Mr. Chairman" at the meeting. He's not, but the 'Rats have been doing that at these partisan show trials.
Thanks. Trueblackman was the instigator for that one. He deserves the credit.
No they never quit. The best thing to do is keep pushing back. They want this year to be 1968 and 1974 all rolled in to one.
