While I think we do need to consider how best to use a resource we have so so much of, I think it would be best for us to embrace Nuclear engergy more. We get more power, can build more missles faster, and it's clean, efficient, and the only waste product is easily recycled into stronger national defense.

Everything that we do to keep energy costs down will have the added benefit of keeping American factories and plants profitable. Keeping our plants and factories profitable makes them less likely to move to China. I'd like to see us use more coal and more nuclear power.
