One has to wonder how he has the gall to call himself a Republican with his actions as of late. I concur. The man absolutely is a hero because of what he endured in VN. However, in a little more subtle fashion than sKerry, he touts this constantly. The media eats it up and portrays him as a hero. That is quite a contrast to how they treated Jim Stockdale (H. Ross Perot's running mate). Both men suffered as VN POWs. Both men are heroes of titanic proportions. Only one of the pair are respected by the media, though.
