Durbin refuses to apologize for Guantanamo Bay comments (Senator Treason's Boundless Arrogance)
KWQC-TV ^ | 06/16/05

CHICAGO Illinois Senator Dick Durbin says he won't apologize for comments comparing American interrogators at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, to Nazis and Soviet gulags.

News of the Democrat's comparison created a buzz around the Internet today, fueled by sound bites of yesterday's Senate floor speech on radio talk shows. By this afternoon, Illinois Republican Party Chairman Andy McKenna asked Durbin to apologize.

Durbin says the Bush administration should apologize for abandoning the Geneva Conventions.

Human-rights activist groups and some lawmakers -- mostly Democrats -- want Bush to close the prison.

But administration officials say some of the people who have been detained at Guantanamo later return to fight against the United States.

Senator Durbin and your support of him
Dear Sir,

Until I hear that you have publicly denounced Senator Dick Durbin's comments comparing the US Military and the Guantánamo Bay facility to Nazi and Soviet concentration camps I will take my several thousand dollars annually of prescriptions elsewhere.
He is a disgrace and so are you if you support him.

Stupid for sure. Here, send him this:

Dear Senator Durbin:

I cannot believe how incredibly stupid you are. I mean rock-hard stupid. Dehydrated-rock-hard stupid. Stupid, so stupid it goes way beyond the stupid we know into a whole different dimension of stupid. You are trans-stupid stupid. Meta-stupid. Stupid collapsed on itself so far that even the neutrons have collapsed. Stupid gotten so dense that no intellect can escape. Singularity stupid. Blazing hot mid-day sun on Mercury stupid. You emit more stupid in one second than our entire galaxy emits in a year. Quasar stupid. Nothing in our universe can really be this stupid. Perhaps this is some primordial fragment from the original big bang of stupid. Some pure essence of a stupid so uncontaminated by anything else as to be beyond the laws of physics that we know. I'm sorry. I can't go on. This is an epiphany of stupid for me.

It may be the last chance for a power grab.Or
..my guess is
that these Democrats are trying to look reprehensible so
that Hillary can appear moderate and concilatory,
the good cop/bad cop scenario. It won't be the first,
or last time someone takes a hit for the Clintons.

By the way, what info was in those stolen FBI files that the
Clintons have, on their "fellow" Democrats? Could they be
using information they have to blackmail their own party?
I wonder.
That might explain why Democrats seem to be self-destructing
lately....(i.e. get out of way of Hillary, and make her look
good, or else we will leak information about your nefarious
deals..)

Senator Durbins comments put my son in danger. He has done one tour of Iraq and will do one more before he is out of the Army. Senator Durbins comments (that are lies) give aid and succor to the enemy that wants to kill my son.

My son is also in Iraq and I consider Durbin to be just as much of the enemy as the terrorists and insurgents. One and the same. For any soldier that is killed now Durbin is just as responsible as the enemy in Iraq or Al Quaida.
In fact Senator you are a much greater enemy than the one we face in Iraq and you should be treated as such. I evocate any action by my government to treat you as a traitor to this country. Last time your elk tried this was Vietnam and we were refused a voice by MSM. But not now Senator, not now, and not ever again!!!!! I have a voice, you are exposed, you will continue to be exposed. I call for your arrest for treason, I call for your impeachment, and I call for your disgrace. I will not stand by why you perpetuate the death of my children. If our children can fight the enemy for us in Iraq we can fight the enemy at home for them. I encourage all parents with children in the service to unite and get rid of this type of scum in congress.

He doesn't need to apologize, he needs to resign in disgrace and mediate about it for a bit in Tora Bora.

Senator Richard Durbin

332 Dirksen Senate Office Building

Washington, DC 20510

Senator Durbin:

Your comparing the US' terrorist prison at Guantanamo to Hitler’s concentration camps and US servicepeople to Nazis is unforgivable. My father’s family was murdered by the Nazis. For you to compare that horror to making a prisoner wear a pair of panties on his head or be kept-up all night for questioning is stupefying. That you would compare our armed forces and its leadership to that of Stalin, Hitler, and Pol Pot makes me seriously wonder if you have an unreported head injury or are suffering from dementia. It must not have escaped your notice that Al Jazeera is dancing in the streets over your remarks and has them headlined on their website. Your stupid, cruel remarks have given the enemy aid and comfort in a time of war and increased the danger to our servicepeople on the front lines.

I note from your biography that military service is conspicuously absent, and in fact, you seem to have spent your entire life as a politician. I served two tours in Vietnam. You remember Vietnam, don’t you, Senator? A war we were prevented from winning by people like you – those who sought to defeat the US through propaganda, lies, and direct attacks on the nation’s politics.

Shame on you and shame upon the Democratic Party. You are the person of whom Mills spoke, when he said, "War is an ugly thing, but not the ugliest of things. The decayed and degraded state of moral and patriotic feeling which thinks that nothing is worth war is much worse. The person who has nothing for which he is willing to fight, nothing which is more important than his own personal safety, is a miserable creature and has no chance of being free unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself."

In closing, let me give you advice from another great American, Samuel Adams, "If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen."

Sincerely,

Kenneth B. Sherman

If this post was misunderstood as being posted by Commander Galanti, I apologize.

I'm not Cdr.Galanti.

I'm just a humble man who has not done as much as the Commander.

The letter was sent to a friend of mine, and the Commander asked for "Maximum Exposure". So, I posted the Cdr's lettet.

Sorry for the confusion.
