Let me guess, you were only in Kansas City, KS, or Lawrence, right? :)
Lawrence = Berkeley and KCK = San Fransicko
The rest of the state is sane, but those cities do have their representatives throw their weight around.

Their tough talk has educators and others worried the court will order schools to remain closed until legislators comply.They are fighting a losing battle with the court. We had an idiot judge in Ohio who did the same thing and got away with it.

I noticed that you mentioned San Francisco and UC Berkeley. Quite a few years ago, San Francisco feminists exported homo-activism and more feminism to Kansas universities and civic groups through their "Operation Prairie Fire." There have been many other such efforts.
