Why? I may not see this as degrading but I've seen public schools degrade and disrespect my own family's heritage. Should I just shut up as well and do what the good government workers tell me to do?

All original aboriginal Indians wore bolo ties, and breechcoths. That was formal Indian wear, along with good handmade moccasins, a decent blanket and a number of feathers.

The relaxed Indian events relied on breech-cloth, bare feet and armband.

Of course, buck-nakedness was sometimes seen, but had, for the most part, gone out of fashion.

What a jerk PC group. And I have a smidge of native Indian in me that is sorely embarrassed.
