An Open Letter to Illinois Senator Dick Durbin

Well stated! I watched the Durbin alleged 'act of contrition' performance on the boob-tube as most all probably have. I noted his well-placed emotional displays and found one thing disconcerting. He appeared to me, as an actor reading lines at an audition competing for a part. I say that, because what he said when you paid close attention to the words coming out of his mouth was quite revealing. I can't quote him verbatim, but I'm certain of the essence of these statements:
'Some may think my remarks crossed the line'
Comment>What about YOU Dickie-boy, Didn't YOU think YOUR remarks crossed the line?
''Im sorry if anything I said caused anyone offense'
Comment>Yo! Dickie-boy,...Not so quick. Don't YOU KNOW that MANY things you SAID caused MANY people OFFENSE? Of course you do.
I'm not splitting hairs here, but when you break it down it DOTH APPEAR to be some carefully construed damage control and THE HEIGHT OF INSINCERITY and that makes it all the more damning, though not unexpected. There is a truism to be noted here and that is that once gain we have vivid proof that politicians are culled at two levels with the same net result. They are the slime skimmed off the top of the barrel when you wish to see what's in the damned barrel AND they are the dregs left at the bottom of the barrel when the barrel is tipped to empty it's content.

That is what is wrong with our system. Citizens who are too lazy to take any interest in that which directly affects their lives by even voting on a regular basis have burdened the rest of us with these allegorical pretenders and poseurs. For it is a fact that politicians are all too common, while statesmen are all too rare.

Dickie-boy...Do us a favor. Jump BACK into the barrel.
