Burned Qurans Left at Va. Muslim Center

By Associated Press

June 16, 2005, 9:52 PM EDT

BLACKSBURG, Va. -- A bag stuffed with burned Qurans was left in front of an Islamic center, shocking members when they arrived for prayers.

The torched copies of the Muslim holy book were inside a plastic shopping bag, members of the Islamic Center of Blacksburg said. They said the bag had been placed at the center's front door sometime before Saturday prayers.

"It is a shame that people are so ignorant," member Idris Adjerid said.

Kevin Foust, the agent in charge of the Roanoke FBI office, said Thursday his office is helping local police investigate. He declined to speculate whether the incident would be classified as a hate crime under state or federal law.

Then why don't we hear very much about those "moderate" American Muslims condemning the barbarous acts of their fellow Muslims? You know; the wanton killing of innocents, the murder of children, women, etc. You know, all those moderate law-loving moderate American moderates Muslims! How come theyre so quiet???

Because they're scared. They are afraid if their fellow Muslims hear them - they will be the next infidels to be murdered.

I was raised to think that Islam was one of the world's great religions - HAH! Fool me once, shame on you - fool me twice, shame on me.

I thought that as a free nation and people that we have the right to burn books. Would there me such an investigation if this was a church with burned Bibles? Of course not. That isn't against the law.

There's a pretty size-able laundry list of things Americans, good old fashioned honest to goodness Americans, don't tolerate.

Yeah. I remember reading about the time good old fashioned Americans weren't very tolerant of Catholics, especially the Irish Catholics.

Some still aren't.

Exactly! Is this even a crime? The books weren't burnt on the temple proper, so...What's the big fizz, apart from littering?

Will you ignore them if somebody burns down their Mosque?

Somebody burnt down a mosque? Where was that? You think nothing would be done about that?

So what did CAIR and all those God fearing American Muslims have to say about the cold blooded murder of prominent politicians in The Netherlands? Or all the Palestinians suicide bombings? Or anything whatsoever done in the name of Allah? Just curious , since you like playing the self righteous -type of defender of the oppressed, Im sure you can cite some prominent Moderate Muslim leaders and what they have to say about all that.

They're not. The ones I know condemn the violence all the time.

Didn't you hear about that huge rally they had a month or so back called, Muslims against terrorism?

Do you know how many good muslims attended.......about 2 dozen. There are your friendly muslims.

They had more reporters showing up than peace loving muslims.

Why didn't you stop Tim McVeigh from blowing up the Murrah Building in Oklahoma City?

Do you go to peace rallies? I don't.

Why would an American Muslim waste his time going to a peace rally?

Especially when he'd rather be at home taking care of his family.

Why do you think Muslims who haven't done anything wrong have to explain why other Muslims do terrible things?

Do you apologize when some white guy in your locale commits murder?

Yeah that's the syndrome - apparently if affects more than just jews in love with their tormentors - it applies to Americans who believe the soft spoken Osamas of this world...

He declined to speculate whether the incident would be classified as a hate crime under state or federal law.

After reflection, I realize that I was mistakenly directing my ire at "Kevin Foust, the agent in charge of the Roanoke FBI office". He answered a stupid question the best way he could.

There is no reporter claiming credit for writing the crap to convey a totally bogus line of thinking.
It was the stupid person assembling the story who asked the leading question. We see that technique being used all the time at news conferences.
At this point it ceased being "news" and became something not too far from fraud.
The intention was clearly to convey the impression that the authorities were contemplating the "hate crime" angle.

Totally fraud. Will the MSM idiots ever get it?
The jig is up!

Good. Our folks in uniform may be required to acquit themselves in a dignified and respectful manner.
But some of the rest of us ordinary folk are starting to get P'ed off and will be sending messages of this type from time to time.

They're not. The ones I know condemn the violence all the time. BS. Name one moderate Muslim to say anything whatsoever about this or anything else.

American religious leaders; Protestant, Jewish, Catholic cant stop themselves from prostrate begging for forgiveness for all kinds of acts of barbarism, or for forever setting up public displays of prqyerful penitence.

So..provide one link, bigshot. It is no wonder Europe is having a collective breakdown over their "special" problems. This is a "religion" like none other.
