Good Lord! Three, maybe four times a year I'll venture over there. I had no idea how bad it had gotten. It's like they've got DU running the show.

What's that? Howard Dean is chairman of the DNC. Oh ... they do have DU running the show.

People have to stop thinking of comedians as officially-elected politicians.

Unfortunately, we have some major dumbos in this country.

ALL of them vote Democrat or Libertarian (just because they heard from someone's brother's sister that it was cool and you could smoke dope and stuff).

I honestly believe this is it.

They had their chance for civility. They're the "minority party" full-time now.

Thanks to Dick.

Quite an image you describe!

I would say, if I read you the kind of comments Durbin made and I didn't tell you who said it or when, you might think it came from Benedict Arnold, Tokyo Rose, Axis Sally, Quisling, or some other traitor.

Of course, I'm not saying he's like them, though (an approximation of Durbin's own mealy-mouthed "explanation" . . . )

Then if his FRIENDS in the Senate will not step up to the plate. The voters of Ill. must do the job.

If anything, this comment gives me hope for the first time in years that Durbin may be defeatable in 2008.

It's time for the U.S. Military to think outside the box now that the prison guard scandal has been exposed. How do we get the Gitmo prisoners to talk without resorting to tactics that have caused such a controversy? The answer is simple. Sensitivity training, the American version of "re-education camps". If making "diversity quilts" is good enough for our own C.I.A.( Blinded Vigilance,Insight on the News,Oct.15,2001 by J.Michael Waller) then I don't see why forcing Gitmo prisoners to do the same would be considered torture. Let Senator Kennedy or Hillary Clinton dare complain as we send "sensitivity facilitators" to soften up Gitmo prisoners who will be indoctrinated with subjects such as gay rights, women's rights, affirmative action, animal rights and environmentalism. Don't force these Gitmo prisoners into listening to rap music, but rather make them stand around for a hour or two hugging a tree. Tell them there is no God, that they should now worship Mother Earth. Teach them subjects such as "transgender rights" and "cross-dressing."
If it's O.K. to use these brainwashing techniques on our school children, then why not use them on these Islamofascist? If American parents have to accept schools teaching their children how to put a condom on a cucumber, and these same schools can get their daughters an abortion without the parents' consent or knowledge, why not tell the Gitmo prisoners that their children will suffer the same fate? Of course we Americans being a compassionate people wouldn't really subject Gitmo prisoners children to such abuse, but the mere threat should put the fear of Allah in these terrorist. If Christians have to shut up and be quiet when their government funds sacrilegious "art" such as "Piss Christ" or "Dung Mary" then why can't these Islamofascist be shown pictures with their religious symbols being defaced in the name of art? Why not tell these prisoners that we are starting the Boy Scouts back in their native land, and that their sons will be going on overnight campouts with homosexual men, while being taught the liberating concept of gay marriage? If California seventh grade students must take an intensive three week course on Islam, study important figures of the faith, wear Muslim clothing, adopt a Muslim name, and stage their own jihad,("Brave New Schools", World Net Daily.com,1/11/2002), then why not make Gitmo prisoners learn the tenants of Judaism and Christianity, adopt a Christian or Jewish name, wear a priestly collar or a Jewish yarmulka, and learn to say the Lords prayer? If Hollywood can show movies that depict Christians as hate mongers who are backward, irrational, intolerant and ignorant, why not make movies showing Islam in the same negative light and make these prisoners sit and watch these insulting films explaining to them that these movies are mere expressions of art and have an important message. Have prisoners form groups to discuss their intolerant beliefs. If they disagree with any of these politically correct agenda items, then the sensitivity facilitators should get in their faces and scream that they are fascist hate mongers who are intolerant and homophobic. Make Gitmo prisoners learn "free speech" by burning the flag of their native land. If these leftist techniques that have been foisted upon our culture can work to the point that far to many Americans feel ashamed of their own history and to hate their own country, then I don't see why it can't at least make some Gitmo prisoners hate and despise their own country. Once this happens, they will do everything they possibly can to assist us, their enemy, just as our liberal media and many in the Democratic Party are assisting our enemy to the detriment of our brave men and women fighting for our freedom in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Here's my favorite from their website:

04/10/2005
(Seattle, WA) The Backbone Campaign, known for using humor and political theater unveiled their Spineless Citation for Senator Daniel K. Inouye's (D-HI) vote last month to open the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge to oil exploration. It was delivered in form of a vigil by the "Backbone Patrol" outside a fundraising dinner at the University of Washington.

Daniel Inouye, for those that don't know, is a Medal of Honor recipient.

These are some serious putzheads!

I see an implied threat in Durbin's comments, on top of a grave insult.

The US expended much in lives and treasure to kill Nazis and destroy their regime. If Durbin (or anyone else in the "Bush is Hitler" crowd) REALLY thinks that our president, government, or armed forces merit a comparison to the Nazis, isn't the "logical conslusion" (in their sick minds) that such president, etc. should be similarly dealt with? I am worried that some nutjob will think so. If that's not the case, then Durbin, like many others, is trivializing the Holocaust, among other disgusting things.

Delay makes a comment about judges, and the media goes off for weeks about "danger and threats to judges" or "inciting
violence."

I see much more of a threat here.

I have a REAL problem with the overused Hitler analogies. In a number of contexts . . .

BUT, of all those you mentioned only Durbin was fair and
balanced. He also included the Soviet GULAG and Pol Pot's
Cambodia. After all, if you slander people you should do
it in fairness and include both fascists and communists!
On a more serious (and very disturbing) note Durbin's
screed was reported on Al Jazeera. That's clearly a
betrayal of America's national interests.

Check out www.cpusa.org - the official website of the Communist Party of the U.S.A. ---- Seems to me, their agenda matches that of the democrats. They (cpusa) are especially interesting during the campaign season, when it is certainly apparent who they are cheering for; when, essentially, they are a wing of the democrat party.

Durbin is the worst bum in the Senate. I am ashamed to be from the State of Illinois because of this bum. We are the State of Senator Abe Lincoln now we have Dick Durbin.
