Jack FM is terrible. Did it to one of their L.A. stations (which was only a so-so station), but the programming is all over the map. There's no theme...just jumps around between various styles and is unlistenable.

Jack is awful. They inflicted it on New Yorkers by taking away our oldies station, WCBS-FM 101.1. Cousin Brucie, Mickey Dolenz and a whole lot of other people are out of work.
I e-mailed them and informed them that I was removing 101.1 from all of my pre-sets. They never responded. Obviously, someone of my demographic (white, female, over 40) doesn't matter diddily squat to them.

In some ways, it sounds like an attempt to recreate the "a little of this, a little of that" nature of Top-40 radio when the big AM stations rules. You'd actually hear some country, some dance, some rock, etc. on the old Top 40 stations like WABC, even during the Disco era.
