We should quote the whole discussion of the bulimia theory. Dr. Thogmartin really comes down in it very hard -- of course in calm professional language. If we rule out bulimia, Michael Schiavo, the only suspect in Terri's "collapse," has lost his only alibi.

It was a lousy alibi all along, but somehow he got a free pass. The odds, in practical terms, of a healthy young woman suffering cardiac arrest from bulimia nervosa at 4:30 in the morning, with no purging episode, are zero.
