I think we should Freep CNN and give credit to this reporter! She is describing how brave our miltary is, how hideous the terrorist torturers are and goes into emphasis on how these terrorists come from Syria and terrorize the Iraquis. Its one of the best articles I've seen come out of CNN.

I'm looking out around me and I see a deserted city -- some of the buildings bombed, smoke still rising from them. Civilians, many of them left a long time ago. The rest are afraid to come out, just the same way they were afraid to come out or say anything when the insurgents came into their towns.

This is the kind of fight that the Marines are fighting here and it is very, very difficult.

DU is probably going to lash out at her and the "corporate media" for an analysis like that. Kudos to her.

Do not ever congratulate a journalist for doing their job. Just because they happen to get it right this ONE TIME .. it doesn't deserve applause.

They should be doing this ALL THE TIME.

I've seen several reports from Jane Arraf. She's got guts .. gets righ in the battle (wearing a helmet and flak jacket), is calm and collected as bullets wiz by her head. And she's been real fair in her reporting about our troops from what I've seen. No editoralizing, just the facts, described with colorful language.
