where 12-year-old Boy Scout Garrett Bardsley (search) was lost last summer.

would you send your kid off to where there was an abduction last year?

This is what the article says:

"The sprawling, eastern Utah county includes the rugged Uinta Mountains, where 12-year-old Boy Scout Garrett Bardsley (search) was lost last year."

Without more information, this is like saying two boys disappeared in Connecticut. Only in a general sense can it be said that they disappeared from the same place.

Now, if they disappeared from the same scout camp, that would be significant.

You did not read the article(s), did you?

The disappearance last year was not considered an abduction. In fact, this current disappearance is not considered an abduction---yet.

Please get the facts before you call names.

They never thought he was abducted, perhaps they have now changed their minds. They believe that he got lost and died of exposure. A child that size is a little big for a mountain lion attack, and if he were attacked, there would be some sign of it most likely.
