Throughout my career I've worked with many people from the Middle East and have personally enjoyed all of them. I've worked for Iranian bosses and have had Iranian and Egyptian employees. On a personal level, there's been no problem. It's certainly a different story, however, on a broader cultural level. The lack of outrage by the U.S. arab community, the general sympathies with the jihadists, the failure to condemn the attacks on the U.S., the insane PC kowtowing to CAIR, the trumped-up and nonsensical charges about Gitmo -- all these things are souring me and many other Americans on the arab community.
Oh touchy-touchy PC. They were free to put up this museum, weren't they? And Americans are free to choose whether or not to go to it, aren't they?
Well I am so touchy. Well there has been times some of the people here said I talked like a far right person. I bet you are more PC than me. Your labelling is funny though since I hate pc.
I dont like their religion that much either, but I will give them a chance to convince me they are good people. Even though arabs is one of the peoples I like the least in general
Freedom to choose is great. In my mind a educated chose is the best. Believe in peoples knowledge to know whats right from wrong. Ex. I dont like Soviet Communism, but going to a museum that showed me what was going on in Lenins land would be very interesting.
Social Studies as propaganda. Yes. I just helped my neice study for her High School Regent's Test in American History so I know just what you are talking about. The most important era was the "Progressive." Featuring prominently in the greatest American figures were female social workers, Black Militants, and leftist lawyers.
This was just after I forwarded her information on the Patriot Act to correct her history teacher. School can be a dangerous place.
