| China: a Female Police Chief, 15 Years in Prison for Taking Sexual Favors from 20 Male Cops |
| [Yonhap News 2005-06-21] |
(Seoul, Yonhap News) Lee Sang-min -- Chinese authorities sentenced to 15 years in prison An Hui-jun(female, age:50), a former female police chief of Luohu, Shenzhen City, Guangdong Province, from taking sexual favors for about 20 young male cops, according to June 20th report of TVBS TV.
Known as 'modern-day Zetian Wuhou,' named after the decadent empress Zetian Wuhou(reign: 690-705AD) of Tang Dynasty, the former police chief forced young male cops to have sex with her, in exchange for their promotion, while serving as a police chief, according to TVBS.
In addition, she took huge bribe for protecting (local) sex industry, organized crimes, and 200,000 dollars worth of her bribe and about 60,000 dollars worth of her properties were confiscated. TVBS reported that she showed little sign of remorse at her trial on the court.
According to charges against her, she first picked a young policeman, and took sexual favors from him while pretending to do outdoor patrol. If the man rebuffed her, he was either excluded from his promotion or transferred out of her department.
A male policeman from a police substation at Luohu admitted that he had sex with her, a divorcee, in exchange for his promotion. It is reported that young good-looking cops (in her department) were put on the express track for promotion for dubious reasons.
She also regularly took bribes from Karaoke bars, brothels, drug dealers, and underground casino operators.
She was once admired as a model for (all) Chinese policewomen, but she was sacked from her position last October after her corruption scandals were exposed.
TVBS added that, while the original Zetian Wuhou of Tang was able to stay on her throne as the empress despite her decadence, "the modern-day Zetian Wuhou ended up spending much of her remaining life in prison."

Ping!
Things that make you go hhmmmmm.....
from taking sexual favors for about 20 young male cops-->
for taking sexual favors from about 20 young male cops
That really sucks...or bites....or pushes the line or....goes all the way.
I read a story like this on the internet. It was quite enjoyable.
Owl_Eagle(If what I just wrote makes you sad or angry,
Let me see if I have this right: you get laid AND a promotion and it's a BAD thing?
This is all about sex. Nothing to see here. Time to move on.
Sigh...this is just bizarre on so many fronts...
If you have to do it with Hillary, how do you feel?
In her defense, according to the story that was on here last night about the brain shutting down, she just wasn't thinking straight . . . no her fault . . . she couldn't help it. (You go, girl!)
Didn't see what you wanted huh? It indicated such in the headline.
"Wuhou" Is this a misspelling of Whoo Hoo!?
"took sexual favors from him" Shouldn't this be "gave sexual favors"?
"but she was sacked from her position" Any comment necessary here?
"she showed little sign of remorse at her trial on the court. " But she was smoking a cigarette and softly sighing.
Shenzhen 911?
Dallas PD did have one female assistant chief who would not have had to try too hard to bribe me into "extra-duty." Alas, she wasn't in my chain of command. :-(
Is she hot?
Ooooo, you got me there. Perhaps at gunpoint.
Wuhou is a title, meaning "empress Wu."
Sounds like she could have a second career in American politics.
She was thinking of that the last handsome officer she promoted, "Yung Long Wang."
Wun Hung-Lo was the arresting detective apparently.
...and took sexual favors from him while pretending to do outdoor patrol.
That should have been the first clue something was wrong...management type om patrol?
Confucious say: "Quick rise in shank can lead to quick rise in rank by diligent observance of the way of puun tang."
Very funny.
Is that from "The Famous Dictums of Confucius" Sub Section 3.1 ?

LAUNCELOT
We were in the nick of time. You were in great peril.GALAHAD (dragging his feet somewhat)
I don't think I was.LAUNCELOT
You were, Sir Galahad, You were in terrible peril.GALAHAD
Look, let me go back in there and face the peril?LAUNCELOT
It's too perilous. They are right outside the castle by now.
GALAHAD
Look, it's my duty as a knight to try and sample as much peril as I can.LAUNCELOT
No, no, we must find the Grail.
That Confucious dude had it nailed...isn't he the one that said "woman pilot who fly plane upside down...have crackup"?
Yes. That is the chapter entitled "Enter the Jade Gate."
He was remarkably prescient. He said that long before planes were invented!
Does anyone in here have her pic??? I am eager to know how she looks!!!!
I heard she looks kinda like Lucy Liu, but is actually better looking.
Yes. I know there was more to her than sex and favoritism, but if this lowly police chief's life were to be examined with the same careful objectivity that we give Catherine The Great, we would probably find that she did some good in her job, too.
But that sort of treatment is reserved for the high and mighty of history. If a local bureaucrat is caught doing what Bill Clinton did, he will be be viewed as scum and ruined. The lesson for sexual predators and harrassers is to go as high as you can and get as much power as you can, then people try to find the good in you.
Spankings for Everyone!
GALAHAD: Well, I could stay a BIT longer
Women hold up half the sky.
Yeah,
I was thinking "you go girl!" too :)
Men have been doing this sort of thing for centuries.
This may be also the benefit of equal opportunity policy?:-)

Yeah...and look at the thanks we get...sheesh!
I'm seeking a promotion.
Wow, Guangdong is really one of China's worst qualities.
Kind'a brings "Screw the Chief!" a new meaning...
When arrested, she reportedly had her eye out for another up and coming policeman, Huj Jon Sen.
Huj Jon Sen is honorable cousin to Aw sum dik.
