At least in the context, it makes more sense than "Distinguished Service Medal".
THANK GOD! I read Stephen King's book, "The Girl Who Loved Tom Gordon", and I can't get it out of my mind in relation to what this little boy must have gone through.
Yes, the camping merit badge is required for Eagle. I'm working on my Eagle project right now, and I have all my merit badges done.
I agree, thank God!
I also read that book when it first came out. I hope his encounter wasn't *t-h-a-t* scary ;-)
Excellent news! His family must be so relieved. I hadn't been following this story, but I'm always up for some good news :-)
AGREED!
The Hawkins' yard is covered with yellow balloons, ribbons, posters, and there are neighbors huddling around.
A KUTV (Salt Lake ch 2) reporter interviewed a young lady in the yard who spontaneously said the following (through her tears):
You know, you can have faith whether he was found alive, or otherwise, and we would still believe; have faith; have hope; but, we're just so grateful it had the outcome it did, and we will always stand by Brennan and his family and support them.
Reporter: And this is what you were praying for...
Exactly... completely overwhelmed, and so grateful of all the people that helped, and the media who was able to keep it in people's minds, and help people to realize how much we needed their help, and how much we really appreciate everybody that came. Because everybody, even if you didn't find Brennan, you made it so somebody else could search in the area he was found, and it was just by process of elimination that we were able to find him, to go to the exact spot that he was. Because somebody else came up and searched, and somebody else came and gave water to somebody that was hiking, and somebody else watched somebody's kids so they could go hiking. Everybody that pulled together, they're the ones who found Brennan. Everybody found him.
I was worried for the little guy! I'm so glad they found him!
Good job!
The left is insane. They're only happy when bad things, very bad things happen to their country and their political opponents.
Be careful who you ask...they just might show you.
I agree. Finally some good news.
Good news indeed.
Good for you! My father was also, and OA, and a professional in the BSA his entire life. My oldest son is headed for Eagle now.
Are you freaking serious?
He was 11 and not old enouugh..He and a friend came along with one of their dads..IIRC.
WOO HOO..Thank you God and all who searched.
You will not believe what the DUmmies are saying about his being found. Here is a link, prepare to be disgusted.

They certainly show thier true natures
The depth of evil. Sad. Meet the enemy of your children's future.
I saw the mom on tv an hour or two ago. God indeed answers prayers. I'm glad everyone pulled together to find Brennan.
His mom was awesome! I wouldn't have been as composed as she was able to be. The community went out and brought this child back to his family.
