"The most benign threat involves cut fences, ransacking of buildings, and trespassing on private property."

Methinks this sentence alone shows an incredible sense of reality detachment for this editorial board.

I wonder if members of the editorial board got their training at the Minneapolis Star/Tribune? it sounds like they did.

Has anyone given thought to the notion that the criminal elements may be bribing politicians not to support a border cleanup so their smuggling of nasty things can't be stemmed or regulated?

Just like most newspaper people, and for that matter, college professors as well as actors, they aren't grounded in the real world, even though they think they are.

I'd like to see what Bush would do if the illegals ever came by his ranch and did the same things. That's the problem with our politicians - they don't live in the real world once they are elected. We should force them to go back from where they came from and live there six months out of the year. No, they hide in DC and let the citizens suffer from their dereliction of duty.
