So essentially, Nixon helped drive India further into the clutches of Moscow. [Smooth move Ex-lax!] You know, I do respect Nixon in many ways. But in some cases, he was just so lame!

.This is not as bad as it sounds-- the "nonaligned" stance was a corrupt 'play both sides of the street hustle' of the Cold War adversaries, and USSR just finally made a better deal for them.

The Ghandis and their Party were never friends of the West, they set their own nation back a generation, and Nixon didn't come by his attitude by accident out of the clear blue sky.
