I think Britain is having delusions of being a Superpower. I think she should stay the heck out of geopolitics, and let me add Germany and France to that list. If there is a country who could combat any threat of terrorism by simple not letting in individuals from the Muslim world, it would be England. She is surrounded by water on all sides and has only one rail link, "Chunnel". They aren't like us with thousands of miles of coast land, and two boarders. As for their need for a large nuclear deterrent, to my knowledge no one is pointing nuclear weapons at them. The cold war is over and Warsaw Pact is a thing of the past.
